Up until today, I had been toying with the idea of doing the Columbia 150 upriver - from Astoria to Beacon Rock. Well, this trip put paid to that idea. We had good, steady, 10-12mph winds and we could - at best - do 2.3kts heading upriver. That is just too slow.

Still, we made it up far enough to glimpse the dam, then we had to turn around and head back to the docks.
