Dawn came with very little wind. As I wasn't a Puddle Ducker this year, so I stood on the beach and watched as my people sailed away. I had Sean Moffitt as my crew on this trip, and we had decided to wait until the PDRs were out of sight before we launched.

Jon had returned to the TX200 with Ranger, his boat from last year (the first PDR to ever sail twice in the TX200) while Kevin and Jason had both built new boats (T.I.A.B. and Coastal Bender, respectively.) Over on the right was a newcomer: 74-year-old John Monroe in his aft-mast rigged Go Ducking, complete with outriggers to prevent capsizes.
