I met Mike during the '09 Texas200 and upon return to Oregon, struck up an internet friendship with him and his wife, Jackie. Mike was desirous of entering the Everglades Challenge and asked if I'd come along as crew (I am certain Jackie wouldn't let him do it alone.) Mike built a Laguna sailboat for this event. Laguna Dos: Blue Laguna is only the second Laguna class boat to hit the water.
