Back to my writings
Uncle Angus' Bedtime Stories was born one afternoon after listing
to The Legend of Dedrie on the Thistle and Shamrock show on Oregon
Public Broadcasting. In that story, the evil king wins, the evil
druid goes unpunished, the hero dies, the hero's brothers die, and
the maiden is imprisoned until she commits suicide.
Ya just don't get stories like that anymore
Perhaps the most interesting part of the story behind this book
is the tale of my poor, abused illustrator. Cliff Leubbert is one
of the kindest, most caring and understanding men in the world.
He dotes on his children and loves his wife completely. Probably
because of his innate kindness, I was able to coerce him into drawing
these disturbing images. Cliff, you did excellent work on a distasteful
job. Thank you.
This book had pretty good commercial success. I stopped selling
it when I got tired of printing and binding it.
Enjoy Uncle Angus' Bedtime Stories, crudely told
by Andrew Linn, rudely Illustrated by Clifford Luebbert.
