A Christmas Gift
December 28, 2014

Keely got me a Metal Earth model as a stocking stuffer. They aren't
very expensive and they are pretty neat. The company's website,
fascinations.com - besides
being piggy and slow - if for vendors. A quick search on Amazon
shows their Metal
Earth products and prices. Lots of great stuff.

Empire
of Blue Water is an absolutely outstanding book about Henry
Morgan and has a detailed description of the envision of Panama.

This is what you get in the package: 2 sheets of 4"x4",
lazer-cut, metal and a sheet of instructions. You need tweezers
or a pair of needle-nosed pliers to do the assembly.

'Nuff readin', time to get to makin'.

Hmm, those are some small holes and wiggly bits there.

Frigging with the rigging. This step took a few - quite a few -
tried to get right.

A few steps further along - the sails were especially tricky to
bend just right.

Thar she blows - sailing in a stiff breeze, out to go a-murderin'.
That's it, a purty little item that looks great on the shelf.
