Hours and hours later, we got to the camp ground. I had arrived earlier, landed,
then thought I could improve my campsite by moving down a little more.
I ended up getting blown across a short river (called a 'cut' in the
vernacular of the series of mud puddles we lovingly call the Gulf Coast.)
Stuck in a mudbank, my injured foot and I jumped out and tried to slog
it back to the campsite, me dragging the boat all the way. Grant Wolf
of the Catalina 350 Vindaloo, took pity on me and motored his
dinghy over to tow me back to the right side of the cut. Jason was smarter
and landed to windward.
