The first day was an easy navigation - just follow the channel markers to the Inter Coastal Waterway (ICW) and keep going until we found the campsite some 40 miles to leeward.
It was an easy navigation feat - it was a brutal sailing feat. The wind was between 16 and 22mph most of the day with gusts much higher. It was punishingly hot (to my Oregon sensibilities, at least) and when you average 4.5 miles an hour, 40 miles is a long, long ways.
