A boat is something more than a collection of wood, glue and screws.
You can pretend and tell yourself that it is just some inanimate object,
but every once in a while, the truth will glimpse through. I fell
in love with the Weekender looks when I first got into boat building. I was smart enough to know there was no way in heck I would be able to build one start to finish - not with any quality, anyhow. So I bided my time. And sure enough, one came up on Craigslist at a reasonable price. Trouble was, I still had the Aurors, my Newport 16. So I checked with my boat building buddies and asked if I could store the Weekender some place while I sold my Newport. |
