It was a LONG slog back. Mostly no wind, and I ignored my GPS and got off course. I worried the entire time about not having enough fuel to motor all the way back. I sailed for a bit but had to motor probably 80% of the time because of no wind. I debated playing chicken with this barge, but decided to let him win. Right of Mass and all that.
I had one section of purely magical sailing - about 40 minutes of 4 to 5 knots, heeling nicely, the Aurors running with a great bone in her teeth. Then the wind died and it was back to motoring. |
