Disclaimer: Writing manuals is very difficult. These plans may be incomplete or confusing. I have no ability to comprehend your level of competency and I took my best shot. I urge you to use these plans more for inspiration rather than gospel. You accept any and responsibility for whatever comes from the use/inspiration of these plans.

This is the most daunting task of this plan. Feel free to ignore it.

I used to buy 1x2s and rip them into 1x1s for use as chine logs and cleats. For this plan I would need (4) 8ft 1x2s ripped into 1x1s as well as (2) more left as 1x2s, and I still needed a mast. The last time I was at the lumberyard, an 8ft 1x2 cost $1.15 and they looked like they were cut from a Knot Tree. Across the isle was a stack of pretty good quality 16ft 2x4s for less than $4.

With this cut plan, I can get almost all the lumber needed for the entire boat - 16ft mast included - for $4. Not bad at all.

I will still need a few feet of 1x1 and some other dimensions - probably less than (2) 8ft 1x2s worth.
