You can't use printer paper for the mask - printer paper is designed to soak up liquids and the paint will bleed through. I put down a layer of tape then taped the template firmly in place. My suggestion is to get as wide a tape as you can . Even though this turned out 'pretty well' the seams where one line of tape overlapped the previous were where things went badly.
