This was a pretty momentous day for me in particular and Lagunas
in general. We had proven - conclusively - that a Laguna is a serious
sailboat and espouses the very best in homebuilt boats: Cheap, easy
to build, and outperforms production boats. I know I keep laboring
this point, but that is a damn fine sailboat.
Puddle Duckers had a great day as well. Both Jon and Kevin had expressed
a strong desire to reach Army Hole after last year's debacle. Here
again, they proved that while a PDR might be slower, there is no production
boat that sails better - especially when you start considering cost
and size.
A momentous day indeed.
