I met Mike during the '09 Texas200. Sometime after that, his wife, Jackie, suggested we do the Everglades Challenge together. Mike built a boat and I flew to Tampa Bay to meet him. All good adventures start with a meal, and this one started with a meal of Grouper Cheeks. That's right, I gleefully ate the cheeks of some innocent ocean creatures. And they were delicious.
