We woke up to a crystal world. Everything - every surface - is coated with about a half inch of ice. Salem weather is pretty mild, but every 6 or 7 years, we get freezing rain. This is the Wilber, the willow tree in my back yard. When we first planted him, he was about 15ft tall and 2 inches in diameter. That winter, we got freezing rain and I woke up to find him lying flat on the ground from the weight. Wilber doesn't like freezing rain - he has a permanent lean now. I hope he is big enough to handle the weight this time.
