Once past Outer Beach, we entered Aransas Bay, and the waves REALLY started kicking up. John was in the lead over a mile ahead, I was in the middle, and Jason was about a mile back and quite a ways to windward. We took a could of rain squalls, I turned my boat towards the campsite at Paul's Mott, and lost sight of Jason.

I hit camp not too long after John W (seen here talking to Chuck) and asked about Jason. He had thought I had some sort of equipment failure and gotten blown off course so he had continued on his heading and ended up stuck in the mud at Allyn's Bight (27 59.100N, 096 58.350W). Jason had to wade several hundred yards through thigh deep mud to get out, and when he showed up at camp, he was plum tuckered out.
