At Bodega Bay (film site for Hitchcock's The Birds) I saw this ketch laying in her side out in the bay Months ago, she'd had trouble and had been towed in by the Coast Guard. The owner was 'ejected from the marina' and moored his boat out in the bay. Then he became a 'guest of the county' and while he has been sleeping in the Iron Bar Hotel, his boat keeps getting pushed around by storms, until it has come to rest here, where she heels over at low tide and barely floats at high. Over the summer, she has been stripped of everything of value by the curious and the opportunistic. She'll probably never sail again.
