Keely and I try to pick at least a gallon of berries (combined - which means she picks about 3 quarts while I eat every berry I touch, then feel guilty and start picking for the team.)

A gallon does not last a year - in fact, we tend to eat the gallon we pick during the following week. Keely's favorite is Huckleberry Cereal: a bowl of huckleberries covered in milk. To round out our supplies, we buy 2 more gallons back in White Salmon. Of course, we buy additional berries for the people who 'would like to come but just can't make it.'

Not a bad day: 3 hours of driving to get there, 4 hours of picking, and 3 hours back and we still like doing it.
