Somewhere along the way, David got this hitchhiker on his boat - it is a Io moth (Automeris io) caterpillar which seems infested with parasites. David said these are really nasty little buggers and those hairs carry toxins that burn 100 times worse than bee stings. He had been stung twice before and really didn't appreciate this little bugger on his kayak.
