I had started my Viking Canoe some time ago - back in April - but then it started to rain so I just left it out there on the saw horses. Then I got distracted and the months went by. Finally, I decided I had better get it finished and see how it floated. I had one final problem to overcome: How to make a keel that bent up 28 inches on the ends. The first time I did this, I used 4 sections of a 2x10 and a 2x6 - it make the boat HEAVY, and I wanted to try something different.

My solution was to cut a sheet of 5.2mm exterior plywood into 2 inch wide strips and laminate them together in the shape I wanted. This is how I did it . . .
