Next, I needed to install some support for where the seats connect to the hull. With such thin walls, you need to distribute the force of having someone's big butt in the seat. I made a guess at here the seats should go and glued and screwed these brackets to hold the seat. Notice I purposely put this brace over the chine (seam between two boards - called strakes in boat builder lingo).
