The middin heap in front of the cliff dwelling is a treasure trove of Ancient Puebloan garbage. They weren't any more sophisticated about sanitation than contemporary Europeans, and just tossed their refuse over the ledge. Corn cobs give indication as to diet, growing conditions, crop changes, etc.
