Our first stop (last stop for most people) was something like 150 miles out from Flagstaff. Desert View was designed by a woman in 1905. She was some architect, let me tell you. Her buildings are found along the rim and are truly works of art (my opinion). Must have been one heck of a lady to get these kinds of jobs in the male dominated world of 1905 (or 1975 for that matter).
